Hey folks. Not sure if you noticed, but I’ve been pretty out of the blogosphere lately (as in: months). The three or so of you still reading it deserve to know what’s up and that’s what I want to talk about.
Actually – I don’t want to talk about it…real life issues: offline “fun stuff” that constitutes life. Things like family issues, relationships and time commitments. Whatever you want to fill in the blank with here – I’m dealing with life in general (or not, given the day), and blogging has taken a backseat to that.
Truth be told, here’s where I’m at:
1) I’m taking my books off the market. They require updates and until I finish those updates, if I have the time to do so – I don’t want to sell them anymore.
2) I am not for hire.
3) I need to work on my own sites, my own business, my own “things” in general, both online and off, and right now blogging and web publishing at large isn’t my top priority.
If you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time, I apologize for keeping this post postponed for so long. Honestly there’s a lot I could say to make it apparent why I’ve decided to pull back, but sometimes the best thing is simply to say: I’m done.
It’s been an incredible ride. I appreciate my clients, my readers and customers…and I can’t promise I’ll be back any time soon (if ever). All I can say at this point is: thank you all for the business, support and conversations.
Right now I have to make time for things that have needed my time, but have sat derelict for too long. Please see my blogroll page for some other recommended sites.

I certainly know how you feel. If doing the blogging thing doesn’t contribute to the bottom line, you have to choose whether continuing is worth it to you, personally.
I still make money from my blogs, so I continue to update them. On the other hand, I’m not nearly as prolific as I was in the past because 1) I’m not getting younger and 2) it’s freaking hard! Google has done its best to make sure quality outperforms quantity, even when the quantity is good.
Things change rapidly these days, even more so than a year ago. Whether you update this site or not, you should keep the domain alive for at least another year or so. You can never know what the results may be.
Thanks for dropping a line, RT – hope you’re doing well in your neck of the woods. But yeah: it is pretty tough staying on top these days. Right now I’ve got to do my readers a favor and simply be honest: I won’t be back any time soon, if ever.
Thanks for reading and commenting.

Sad to see you go James..But I totally understand that some things just have to come first. Good luck with everything and if you do decide to come back, I would love to help you kick some butt! :)
Mitz –
Thanks for understanding, and I like the look of your site: hope your business does kick some serious posterior. Best to you!
James, I’m sad to see you go. I think we can all identify with life getting in the way of projects we want to do. I just want you to know that I will miss your posts. They always made me laugh. I’m still rooting for you. Best of luck and God bless.
Ken -
Thanks for the good word. Right now I have a lot of broken pieces to pick up that have nothing to do with business, trying to work on the bigger fires and put them out and dropping the “right” balls for a change.
The past 3 years or so I’ve really let my family and faith life suffer. That’s been a huge mistake. Anyway: thanks again.
